And now some photos of the coat

As I mentioned yesterday, the fur coat deserves good photos, so I donned my black top, put on some lipstick and got down to it :) Early morning sun is not the best for photos, but I was anxious.. so here you go. Oh and for the record, it's FAUX FUR... in case you were wondering ;-)

Check out the lining...

It's all in the details. The closures are so cool.

Kenneth added Leather ties to the lapel and to the sleeves. Just because...

Let me know if you want me to take any more photos of this fabulous coat. I've been studying the construction ever since I got it. After all it's not like everyday one gets to wear a coat made by Kenneth King :) enjoy!

I must say, having been a fan of Kenneth King's work, I am somewhat disappointed that in this day and age, (and I am referring more to the monkey fur coat you blogged about earlier), that people are still okay with animals being killed (often inhumanely)for their fur.

I have more respect for people like Tim Gunn, who at least encourages people in the fashion industry to choose more ethical/ humane options when sourcing their materials.

There have been eco-friendly topics and contests on PR in the last few months, but surely killing an animal for its hide, or fur, and then using toxic chemicals (even if in India or China) is far from eco-friendly?

However, as my far more practical husband would say, the deed is done, so I hope this coat lasts you a very very long time...

Love LOve Love the coat AND the lining. Wear it with pride.
Did you make the cowl neck black top in the picture holding open the coat to show the lining? If so-what pattern is it. I LOVE it!
I want a coat like yours.......
