That is going to be a swell trench. You're already familiar with the basic bones of the pattern to boot. The princess seams and darts will show off your waist, it's such a great pattern for a woman's trench. July? Knee length? Hmm.
I think bound seams are called a Hong Kong finish. I never saw them in RTW until I bought a spring jacket in Hong Kong et voilà, the seams were bound in a contrast. Nice effect and it keeps it cool and light. You go, girl!

Hi Deepika, can't wait to see the trench coat finished! I have a burberry trench coat that I bought that I am very unhappy with because the "lining" (I'm hesitant to call it that) is not slippery, so it sticks to my clothing and is not easy to get on and off. So I recommend lining the entire coat myself. Just my two cents. :)
