The new patterns from PatternReview's TNT (tried n'true) Independent Pattern Designers are in just in time for Halloween. Liesl + Co. - Antwerp Pullover
Liesl + Co. came through for the Halloween season with three new patterns! The first pattern, the Antwerp, is a dressy twist on the classic hoodie, this pullover is full of style. Sew it from heavier woven or stable knit fabrics. Both views include a slightly cropped and boxy shape with V neck, front kangaroo pocket, and a curved longer back hem for more coverage. Choose View A with button or snap plackets at the side seams and a lined three-piece hood, or View B with sewn side seams (no buttons) and a classic one-piece collar.
Sizes: 0-20
Fabric Recommendation: This pattern works best with medium- to heavy-weight woven fabrics like wool flannel, lightweight wool coating, denim, and corduroy, or with stable knits like ponte or French terry.

Liesl + Co. - Amarena Dress
Just like the Antwerp the Amarena Dress is a pull over that is comfortable and easy to wear. A relaxed, classic pull-on dress with a gentle A-line shape, V neck, and cup sizes for ease of fitting. Choose from View A with cuffed short sleeves, a flattering shawl collar, and shaped welt pockets or View B, which has bracelet-length sleeves and curved side pockets. Easy to wear and great for layering in cooler weather, this style is appropriate for all seasons. Bonus: This pattern also includes a cut line to make a top if you eliminate the pockets.

Fabric Recommendation: This pattern works best with light- to medium-weight fabrics that have medium body and some drape, like linen, rayon, cotton sateen, pinwale corduroy, lightweight denim or chambray, and lightweight canvas.

Liesl + Co. - Kyoto Dress
And our third installment from Liesl + Co, is the Kyoto Dress with a more detailed fit. The smooth lines of this body-grazing, semifitted, V-neck dress are both elegant and contemporary. Details include a curved waist seam, front and back darts for shaping, an inverted box pleat at the center-front skirt, and short- and long-sleeve options. This pattern includes cup sizes and an invisible zipper at the back.

Fabric Recommendation: This pattern works best with light- to medium-weight woven fabrics with a little drape, like linen, rayon, soft cottons, and sateen.

Merchant & Mills - Margo Pinafore
Merchant and Mills is back with what I grew up calling a jumper, but the UK refer to as a pinafore. The Margo is a hard working pinafore dress, featuring classic detailing and topstitching. Choose to make it with dungaree clips or sewn in straps.
Sizes: UK 6-18; UK 18-28
Skill Level: Intermediate
Fabric Recommendation: Medium weight woven cloth, 8-12oz denim, cotton canvas, cotton drill, corduroy and yarn dyed medium weight linen.
