We are thrilled to announce another pattern company joining our PatternReview family.  This month we welcome Forget-me-not Patterns to our list of Independent Designer Patterns available for purchase on PatternReview. Jo is the founder and designer for Forget-me-not Patterns. She holds a Bachelor of Design in fashion, and several years of experience in custom-made garments and alterations, as well as teaching sewing. Her dream is to help others craft a conscious wardrobe, and have fun doing it.

Forget-me-not Patterns is committed to five key values. Creative growth, there's nothing better than learning and mastering new techniques! Their patterns come with everything you will need to upskill yourself. Self-expression, when sewing we all make creative choices and have the ability to fit things to our unique shape. Sustainability, wearing sustainable fibers, reducing what we consume, and keeping traditional techniques alive is what they stand for. And last is, Inclusivity, celebrating diversity and their commitment to create a space where everyone is welcome.

Forget-me-not Patterns is based in lovely Wellington, New Zealand. For those of you who are not familiar with Forget-me-not Patterns, let's get acquainted.

Forget-me-not Patterns - Viola Knit Top

The Viola Knit Top has 5 reviews, to date from our members. Viola is the perfect top designed for drapey knits. The front features an asymmetric neckline, with draped folds that radiate from the shoulder and flow around the body. Choose from two neckline options: collarless  or an asymmetric collar that complements the diagonal style lines. The back has a shaped centre back seam and a gentle V-shaped neckline. The sleeves come in three length options: three-quarter length, full length, and past the wrist. While fitted at the shoulders and hem, the bust and waist are less fitted.
The details look complex, but by using the simple instructions, you will master the folds and take your knit garments to a new level.

Skill level: Intermediate

Size: 28 - 52

Suggested Fabrics: Light to medium-weight knit fabrics with at least 15% horizontal stretch and good drape. Both two-way stretch and four-way stretch fabrics are suitable. Suggested fabrics include cotton jersey, viscose/rayon jersey, merino jersey, and silk jersey. Stable knits with more body will be easier to sew and make the tuck details more prominent.

Format:Available as a PDF (Digital) Pattern with Copyshop Print Options

Forget-me-not Viola Top is $11.70 for FoPR and $13.00 for all other members

Forget-me-not Patterns - Adeline Dress & Top

The Adeline Dress and Top is the ultimate dress up or casual pattern that you have been waiting for.  Featuring dramatic diagonal pleats in the front and back, this is a wrap dress with a twist. Choose your level of detail, with either a shawl collar or a plain neckline. The sleeves come in short and 3/4 length, and can be plain, or pleated. Make the knee-length dress (which includes the option of in-seam pockets), or go for the top view with a peplum. The tie closure makes it easy to wear and easy to sew - no buttons or zips. The detailed instructions will walk you through every step to a beautiful finish.

Skill level: Intermediate

Size: 28 - 48

Suggested Fabrics: Adeline is designed for light to medium weight non-stretch wovens with good drape. Cotton, viscose/rayon, silk, wool, and linen are all ideal. Try a chambray or linen for a casual feel, or go more dressy with a silk crepe de chine or swishy rayon.

Format:Available as a PDF (Digital) Pattern with Copyshop Print Options

The Viola and the Sylvie are on my wishlist now. I love the elegant 40s vibe in these designs.
