Itch to Stitch - Andes Jacket

Itch to Stitch out did themselves this month by giving us a jacket pattern for every body. Introducing the Andes Jacket sewing pattern, a versatile and stylish high-thigh length jacket designed to elevate your outerwear game. Crafted especially for fleece-backed softshell fabric, this pattern showcases intriguing seam details for subtle shaping and visual interest. The Andes Jacket boasts a lined hood and an unlined body, striking the ideal balance between warmth and breathability. With softshell fabric’s exceptional water-resistant properties, this jacket is your ideal companion in drizzly or rainy weather, promising not just protection but also a touch of elegance for the season.

Fabric Recommendation: Use fleece-backed softshell fabric with a slight stretch. Fleece-backed softshell fabric with no stretch is acceptable but will be more fitted. Other firm, stable woven fabrics, preferably with a presentable wrong side, are also acceptable.

Named - Paola Turtleneck Tee

Named patterns is back and re-introducing two Tried n' True patterns just in time for the holidays. The first is the classic turtleneck tee, Paola, is a wardrobe staple. This timeless everyday polo T-shirt sewing pattern features a classic double-fold turtleneck collar and long sleeves, and it is easy to make and wear.

Sizes: 0-24

Skill Level: Beginner

Fabric Recommendation: Choose a light jersey with not much less than 50% stretch. The sample is made up in a light rayon blend jersey

Named - Tyyni Cigarette Trousers

The second pattern from Named is a great pair of cigarette trousers. The Tyyni pants are timeless, high-waisted trousers with straight legs. This sewing pattern has a slim and flattering fit, with side seams that are curved at the hip and waist. The pants feature subtle in-seam side pockets and a classic zip fly fastening. The vents at the leg openings add a touch of light and airy look. You can iron or stitch creases on the legs.

Sizes: 0-24

Skill Level: Intermediate

Fabric Recommendation: Choose a light trousering or suiting with approximately 5–10% stretch. Light denim or other twill trouserings are all good options.

True Bias - Blair Skirt

Corduroy is back. What better way to sew up that piece that has been sitting in your fabric stash then to use the new True Bias skirt pattern.  The Blair pattern is a woven skirt that is fitted through the waist and hips and has a straight fit to the hem. It has a button-front opening and belt loops. There are three length options : mini, midi, and maxi. All views have optional pockets with inverted pleats, and a belt.

Sizes: 0-18; 14-32

Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Fabric Recommendation: Medium weight woven fabrics such as denim, corduroy, linen, and wool.

Closet Core Patterns - Fran Pajamas

Looking to make yourself or a loved one a new set of jammies for the holidays. Closet Core wants you to elevate your lounging and sleeping game with the Fran Pajamas. Featuring tailored details with a slouchy fit, they look just as good in bed as they do glammed up and on the town. The Fran top features a shirt collar, cuffed sleeve, back yoke, inverted back pleat, and button loop at the neck.
The Fran pants feature a straight leg with a slightly paperbagged elastic waist, optional drawstring, inseam pockets, and back pocket.

Sizes: XXS-4XL

Skill Level: Intermediate

Fabric Recommendation: For a more structured look, choose crisp cottons such as broadcloth, voile, poplin, chambray, and other shirtings. For a more cozy set, choose cotton flannel or light to midweight linen. For a more glamorous or evening look, choose drapey fabrics like silk crepe de chine, satin, tencel, rayon challis, and viscose.

Yes, the Fran is going to be a winner! So versatile, can see it in many versions, from secret pyjamas to actual pyjamas!

Like the Fran, it has a nice relaxed fit. Plus it has very inclusive sizing.
