This is going to be the new NEWS page for PatternReview.com I'll post all the new happenings and goings on for the site here. This page will replace the home page if you are logged in. Once you've seen it, it'll go away. There is also going to be a direct link to this page :

I'll also do RSS syndication for this page so you can be notified as soon as something new is posted.
This will be really helpful for all the newbies too and it'll be archived so it's easy to find important news, instead of digging on the boards.

Based on your feedback, I've added an opt-out feature if you don't want to see the news page. Here's how to do it.
Edit your profile
On the form under Account Settings click on No for the Show News? setting.
Save and you won't see the news page.
Keep in mind, when you do that, you'll miss important updates and events.

I do not mind this redirect and please count me in those who like this redirect. Could we be offered the option of choosing how our computers connect to PR - setting them to either open to this redirect to the PR news page OR to the PR home page? Pakistani Wedding Dresses

This "news" is the only thing I DON'T like about joining. I'm here for the reviews and don't wait for the redirect--I hit the "home" key immediately & I agree you should let members choose.

I find being redirected to this page very annoying. I wish you'd disconnect it, or at least offer an opt out.

I also dislike the redirect, especially when I'm following a link. I'm forced to close the tab
(since everything on PR opens a new tab) and reclick the link. The information isn't worth my time and aggravation.
