5th Annual PR Weekend - New York City
This year PR Weekend began on Friday (Nov. 9th) evening with a visit to the FIT Museum to see the "Luxury", exhibit. I wasn't there for this one, but from what I hear from others, it was fabulous! Dinner was arranged by Kim at this fun diner. We assembled at the Milford Plaza Hotel Lobby at 9:30 on Saturday morning and split into two groups led by Nikki and I. While one group started at Leather Suede and Skins, Nikki's group attacked (not literally ;-) ) Mood Fabrics. From there, I lost track of how many stores we visited and how much fabric we
acquired but somehow I ended up with two big bags of stuff. And I wasn't going to shop! Yeah right...
After resting in the hotel for a few minutes (literally) we made our way to the pizza party. While we waited for the pizza to arrive, we devoured Mary's yummy homemade cookies. Gift swap began soon after and oh my!! What fun it was. I was lucky to be number 26 so I got to snatch Marilyn's gift after pretty much all the gifts had been opened. Of course the winner was Jodi who stole the gift of her choice - A Mood Fabrics gift certificate!
We tried on Mary's coat, admired Connie's vintage dress and relaxed in good company. And yes, The New York Pizza wasn't bad either! Time always flies when you are having fun doesn't it? As the evening progressed, we made plans for next year, talked about a west coast PR Weekend and said goodbyes.
