Voting for the 2023 Print Mixing Contest is now underway. Let's play with our sewing and what better way than to play with fun fabric that has prints. Go wild or stay tame, either way dive into the wonderful world of printed fabrics. For this contest we asked our members to make a garment (or outfit) that uses at least 2 fabrics with different prints or patterns.
Examples of fabrics that qualified: a print stamped on the surface; a design woven into it such as a plaid.
Examples of fabrics that did NOT qualify: Solid colors; warp and weft of different colors (as is often seen in silk dupioni) but with no pattern. No specific quantity of each print was required, but at least two different prints must be easily visible on the exterior of the entry. Solid color fabrics may also be used as long as the prints are the focus. See more Contest Rules here.
56 members participated in this contest. Each of the contestants had a month between January 1st and January 31st, 2023, to create a Print Mixed Garment. Click below to vote for up to 5 entries.
The First Place and Second Place winners will be decided by member votes.
