Voting for the 2023 Outerwear Contest is now underway. The fashion runways are filled with jackets, raincoats, anoraks, trench coats etc. The range of options are so inspiring! This contest is designed to encourage you to sew a garment that is meant to be "Outerwear". For this contest "outerwear" is defined as being something worn over other clothing to protect one from the elements, or to provide a utilitarian function. Coats- raincoats, ski parkas, slickers, jean jackets and ponchos are all eligible. Ski pants, rain pants are also okay. Capes are allowed, as are vests (as long as the vest is a not a fashion vest- we are thinking more ski vest, photography vest and would even allow a fishing vest). Suit jackets would NOT fit in this contest. Accessories will not be eligible for this contest. For the purpose of this contest, beach coverups, cardigans and sweaters are not considered to be outerwear. The garment may be for an adult or for a child. See more Contest Rules here.

The First Place and Second Place winners will be decided by member votes.
