PR Southwest Ontario Meet-up Highlights
On Saturday, Aug. 19th, about 10 PatternReview members of the of the Southwest Ontario, Canada area, gathered for lunch to share everything SEWING. It was organized and executed by one of our members, Loopygolfer, and posted on our Forum - Regional Communities - PR DAY - SOUTHWEST ONTARIO. Loopygolfer writes - "Had a lovely day with 10 sewers at the PR Day in Southwest Ontario on August 19, 2023 at Pasto's Grill in London, Ontario. We had people coming from Sarnia to Hamilton and points in between - thank you ladies for making the trip! We also had sewers with a lifetime of experience (starting age 5, I think), right through to some who are just embarking on their sewing trip. So glad we were all able to come together to share the fellowship that comes from a shared passion - there was no shortage of conversations around the table!"

"We managed to do a bit of show and tell, talking about what we were wearing, or what we were working on, and everyone shared something that reflected them as a sewer. Members sew a very eclectic range of garments, from performance wear to clown clothes, from draperies to jumpsuits to purses. Notables included LynneH's knockout Zadie Jumpsuit, kittykate's beautiful Liberty shirt (fabric direct from Liberty London), Pamela R's beautiful re-engineered denim dress, Sustaindesigns' beautiful skort and linen blouse, Lynn Scott's striking red silk dress and Loopygolfer's flowy Sauvie Sundress.
After a 3-hour lunch, we still weren't finished sharing stories and ideas, so we've decided we'll do another PR Day in October, likely with a pattern and fabric swap. Looking forward to it!" - Melanie MacDonald (Loopygolfer)
